Rhinos - Since February 2007, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is now the biggest rhino sanctuary in East Africa and Kenya’s best location to see these rare animals. OPC is home to 4 of the last remaining 7 known Northern White Rhinos, the world’s rarest large mammal.
Chimps - OPC is home also to nearly 50 rescued chimpanzees at the 240 acre Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, started by world expert Jane Goodall
Unique ‘behind the scenes’ opportunities for those who would like to learn more about conservation work, including: the OPC management and research department are available by prior request to give a private presentation about the conservancy’s work to especially interested guests; and ‘Interactive Conservation Activities’, unique and educational activities combining walks, drives, night game drives and an overnight stay in a hide (hide optional: minimum 4 nights stay)
Climbing Mount Kenya - An ideal base for those climbing Mount Kenya, as well as for those who would rather just welcome the climbers back afterwards. Alex and Diana’s company Insiders Africa offers a 7-night package including 2 nights in camp and 5 nights on the mountain

Private visit to the Northern White Rhinos
Visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary and go behind-the-scenes (with prior arranged special permission)
Meet Ol Pejeta Researchers and learn about wildlife data and monitoring e.g. for elephant (up to 600), rhino (95+) and predators (50+ lion, 30+ cheetah resident in the area)
Track lion prides using radio tracking equipment for research purposes with the Ol Pejeta predator-monitoring ranger (by special request)
Visit Baraka (a blind black rhino), observing him at close range at the Morani rhino/wildlife education centre
Learn about the special techniques of wheat farming with ‘conservation agriculture’ practiced on the ranch
Learn about Boran and Ankole cattle pastoral care, and pioneering techniques integrating cattle and wildlife
Visit a local primary school or medical clinic supported by Ol Pejeta Conservancy
